The egg finally hatches: Madagascar reopens its borders, the news everyone has been waiting for!

The good news is now official. The Malagasy government has decided to reopen its borders from October 23 for flights from Reunion and Mauritius, and from November 06, 2021 for flights from Europe!

After this long health crisis, it’s finally time to bounce back and prove his worth to his business.

Safety is the watchword for this reopening, as it will be carried out gradually while remaining vigilant.

Madagascar has obtained the Safe Travels Stamp confirming that it is a safe destination, here is the link for this ranking: safe countries ranking.

Aircraft

Regional flights will be operated by : Air Austral from La Réunion and Air Mauritius from Mauritius. In addition, Madagascar Airlines and Air France will operate between Europe and Madagascar.

For everyone’s safety, a few conditions must be met when traveling to Madagascar:

  • Presentation of a negative result of an Rt-PCR test performed 72 hours before boarding;
  • an Rt-PCR test on arrival in Madagascar, at the traveler’s expense (25 Euros / 30 USD / 115,000 MGA);
  • presentation of a letter of commitment to containment until the test result is obtained;
  • In the event of a positive Rt-PCR test result on arrival, a 14-day confinement period will be implemented, at the traveler’s expense;
  • filling in a travel tracking form after the confinement period.

Just like airports, hoteliers, excursionists… Escapades is back in business. The team has benefited from training in health protocols to welcome customers in the best possible conditions.

We are delighted to welcome our travelers back to our wonderful island.

Take good care, and see you soon!
