ENVIRONMENTAL ASPECT: collaboration with Naturevolution Madagasikara and HOME Madagascar
Escapades Travel Agency is in collaboration with Naturevolution Madagasikara: a Malagasy association that works to conserve the biodiversity of Makay and to develop the communities that depend on it.
It now covers a range of initiatives on the ground in full collaboration with local populations and all the actors in the territory (local authorities, ministries, tourism professionals, etc.).
The team of the association is present in the field permanently.
Our agency works in partnership with the association by supporting two main projects:
Village forests: providing nursery seedlings used in the southern part of the massif
Seeds of Change by Funding School Gardens and Rice Fields
The goal is to reduce deforestation by offering alternatives to villagers as well as fight against the food insecurity that is rampant around Makay.
In close collaboration with HOME Madagascar, an association affiliated to HOME The Residence which is in our own group, we make our great contribution to the preservation of the environment on Nosy Be. HOME Madagascar has been working on this mission for more than 7 years and has 20,000 trees planted to date.
