Outdoor and solidarity day « Immersion in the community life at the residents’ »
It is during the Discovery of the local traditional life of the Andrahibo village with the association Home Madagascar that you will participate indirectly in the efforts of the latter. In full transparency, part of the excursion cost will be donated to the association to support the development effort in education, health, environmental preservation in the area, and financing professional projects of the villagers in the form of micro credits. You will leave your hotel to spend a day in total immersion in the typical and authentic life of a northern bush village of Nosy Be. The guided walk in this remote area of the island will give you opportunity to meet small YlangYlang producers and the various market gardening they practice. While crossing their fields, you will benefit from their explanations translated directly by the guide. Once you arrive in the village, you will be received by a family, at their home, with whom you will learn to prepare a typically Malagasy meal in the local way. Once this culinary discovery tasted in all conviviality, your guide will take you to the villagers. You will visit the school where local children’s songs resonate; you will also discover the techniques of pounding rice by the women of the village, the techniques of the carpenter for house construction, or the traditional hair braiding. It is during the visit of a home-made still and its distillation principle that you will be dazzled by the most exceptional specialties of Nosy Be, the distillation of YlangYlang essential oil, true pillar of the local economy.

Sakatia, "the island of orchids"
Nosy Sakatia is the most authentic island of Nosy Be (protected and classified by the Ministry of Environment). Accompanied by a local guide, discover the inside of the island during a trekking of one hour and half: blazing flamboyant, coffee trees, pepper pots, vanilla, tree of the “traveler”, pineapple, anacardier, mangos, jacques, guava, eucalyptus, raphia, orchids, healing plants, etc… Everything is there !!! Culture and traditional activities of the Malagasy autochthons, fishermen, and craftsman invite you to share their lives with the rhythm of a generous and respected nature. Tour of Nosy Be island and Mont Passot coktail
Historical, economic and cultural aspect of Nosy Be. Visit of the village of Dzamandzar, the sugar factory which still stands as a landmark despite its lockout, and the sculptor. Tour of Hell Ville (capital of Nosy Be), its covered market with spices, slacks of crabs, tropical fruits, its colonial buildings, and its table cloth market. Quick visit at the harbor and free time for shopping, Departure to discover an authentic sacred tree (Banyan millennium). The island of lemurs and the submarine reserve
First stop: Nosy Komba is the 2nd biggest island behind Nosy Be. Visit of the Lemurs Park, the fishermen’s village with its traditional boat. We will also see the table clothes market, then through the village for a moment of shopping with the famous sculpture of Nosy Komba, its colorful stalls and its smiling faces. Second stop: Nosy Tanikely is a protected submarine natural reserve. Snorkelling equipment is all you need to dive into a real life size of aquarium. A few steps from the beach, you can see all kinds of corals, anemones, multi colored fishes, shellfish, and if you are lucky you’ll see turtles. Bathing, strolling to the lighthouse in order to see giant bats and lemurs, lizards, chameleons and butterflies.

Immersion in tropical forest
Lokobe is the last primary forest of Nosy Be, with its numerous medicinal and endemically plants and its millennium trees. Protected area. This forest which attracts every year many scientists will lead you into the very inside of a tropical forest. Like an initiatory ritual, let you guide into this well preserved universe, looking for nocturnal and diurnal lemurs (Macaco and Lepilemurs), reptile, chameleons, insects, and tropical birds. Land transfer until the fishermen’s village of Ambatozavavy in the south of the island, from where you’ll embark on a traditional boat rowing along the mangrove swamp up to the reserve. Here we are! Paradisiacal island
Nosy Iranja is situated at 1 hour and 30 minutes from Nosy Be by speed boat. These two islands is connected by a white and fine sandbank, covered in high tide and discovered in low tide. It is a paradisiacal island with its turquoise blue colors, white paradise, and green nature. Tortoises still lay there this day, hence its name «Turtle Island». Various type of birds can be seen there; terns, herons and sometimes maritime eagles too. Lunch buffet is served under the shave of coconut trees (crabs, grilled fish, beef stew, shrimps, coconut rice, salads, and tropical fruits). Photo shoot ensured.
