Along the way you will discover the former colonial town of Antsirabe and meet the lemurs of Ranomafana Park. Welcome to Antananarivo “The City of thousand”
Arriving at “Tana”, your driver will pick you up at the airport and will ensure your transfer to the hotel.
Antananarivo is the country’s first city and capital, and its economic centre. The city spans 12hills and consists of a low town and a high town, classified World Heritage by UNESCO.

Road to South of Madagascar (+/- 4h)
After breakfast, the adventure begins by taking the National 7: crossing the Malagasy highlands sublimated by rice terraces, hamlets and zebu herds. First stop in Ambatolampy for a visit to the artisanal foundry where the local pots and kitchenware are handmade. Then drive to Antsirabe, the former colonial city, animated by the back-and-forth of rickshaws. Overnigh tat the hotel.

Antsirabe – Ambositra – Ranomafana (+/-5hours)
Still in the Malagasy highlands, continuation on the nationalroad 7 for a stop in Ambositra, the capital of the Malagasy crafts for the visit of a workshop of sculpture and marquetry cultivating the ancestral art of the local ethnic Zafimaniry. This know-how has been recognized Intangible Cultural Heritage Unesco. Continuation to Ranomafana.

Ranomafana – Sahambavy (+/-2hours)
Breakfast at the hotel then visit the Ranomafana National Park. The park offers a landscape made up largely of rainforests. Besides these lush vegetation, we meet secondary formations that do not cease to expand within the park. Due to the high humidity that characterizes the climate of Ranomafana, the park is traversed by many rivers. They originate in the massif, then crisscross the steep landscape or hills to give birth to magnificent waterfalls and spectacular falls. They also create natural pools drowned in a dreamlike setting. Lemurs, birds and reptiles are observed. Free lunch at your expense, after a succulent lunch, continuation to reach Sahambavy.End of day and night at the hotel.

Visit of the Sahambavy tea plantation and transfer back to Antsirabe (+/- 6h00)
Breakfast and departure for the tea plantation of Sahambavy, the only one in Madagascar to date. A local guide of the plantation welcomes you and accompanies you for the visit through the plantations and the various machines to explain you the steps of tea processing. You will see the different passages from the machine sheets to the final product of the tea and its packing ready for export. After this visit, you return to the colonial city of Antsirabe.

Drive back to Antananarivo
This day, drive back to the capital to appreciate the landscape but also take time to taste the local food. Arrival in Tana and visit of the city of Thousand: the market of Analakely, the former railway station and its surroundings, the Avenue of the Independence as well as the high city to enjoy the sunset.

It is not a simple visit or excursion that we offer you but a real welcome in the daily work of the association accompanied by professionals who will be able to answer all your questions. If you wish, you can bring from France children’s clothes (0 to 18 years), shoes, plush toys, children’s books (no school books), school supplies, toys (without battery), household linen (sheets, towels, tea towels…) to donate them to the association (if you plan this discovery at the end of your stay, we can store them to prevent you from transporting them all over Madagascar).
